The function of public notary is autonomous, the public notary being held in the performance of his service only by the obligations established by law. The notary public monitors compliance with the law, discerns the legal relationships between the parties, drafts and concludes notarial acts and procedures in accordance with the will of the parties and within the limits imposed by the law.
